A 5* rated live, outdoor, 3-D, shoe-leather-on-pavement London Walk.
Our route: the Tower of London (Traitors’ Gate) to the Mansion House.
Our dramatis personae: 20 centuries of them. They range from Boudicca (Boadacea) who put London to the torch 2000 years ago (the first Great Fire of London) to the Extinction Rebellion demonstrators who recently (2019) “torched” the Chancellor’s Mansion House speech.
Enroute: we meet three Tudor Queens beheaded in the Tower, Irish bombers, theArchbishop of Canterbury lynched by Revolting Peasants, the slave trader who switched sides, the Scottish nobleman who laughed his head off (literally laughed it off).
In sum: that’s just a sprinkling of said encounters. Two hours on we’ll have met any number of extraordinary characters whose lives and deaths are etched on, above and beneath the streets and alleys of London.

I had a fantastic time exploring London with Ian Falgeson as our guide. The tour was incredibly insightful, rich with historical detail, and delivered in such an engaging and enlightening way. Ian’s knowledge of the city’s history is impressive, and he brings each landmark to life with fascinating stories and context. Highly recommend for anyone looking to see London through a deeper, more informed lens!

We learned lots of entertaining and interesting behind-the-scenes stories from this tour. It was a great way to be introduced to the old City. We really enjoyed experiencing the medieval pathways amidst the towering skyscrapers. David was a captivating guide. We would tour with him again. Definitely recommend!

Very enjoyable, there was lots of new information, and David is a very entertaining guide. He took care to include everyone when he was talking, and made sure that people were safe when it was time to cross the road. I will be very happy if David leads another walk I go on.

Ian was an excellent guide to our tour ( Revolting London). He is very well informed and competent, very articulate and easy to understand. And he has a very good (and British) sense of humour !

My partner and I did the Revolting London tour and both thoroughly enjoyed it. Ian was knowledgeable and engaging. He was also respectful of the mix of people in our group, even checking with parents before talking about certain delicate subject matter! With Ian’s conversational style and humour we picked up lots of interesting information. A fun way to learn, and also got in a reasonable step count! We will definitely look for another of Ian’s walking tours when we next visit London.

Ian was great! I’ve been on many walks and this may have been the best. Lots of interesting information, sprinkled with humor.

Really interesting and informative tour taking in areas of London that I was less familiar with (the financial area and city). The tour was “2000 years of revolt and reprisal” and indeed it did include, in varying depths, from Roman Britain to the Baltic Exchange bombing in the 1990s.
Throughly enjoyable and to be recommended.
