British Museum Friday Late – VIP, Small Group Guaranteed
It’s guided this evening (Friday, January 17th) by Marc. With Marc you get no end of extra wallop. He’s a seasoned, top flight, professionally qualified Blue Badge Guide. Which is par for the course – what you expect with London Walks.
But into the bargain (same refrain but a variation on the theme) Marc’s a seasoned, top flight, award-winning, nationally published photographer.
So my (David’s) recommendation is, be sure to take your camera with you. For a couple of reasons. 1) the tour’s after hours in the British Museum, so we’ve pretty much got the exhibits to ourselves – perfect for close-ups, great angles, and soft-light, atmospheric, moody shots of a nearly empty British Museum; and 2) most important of all, it’s a small group tour – so you can get all kinds of individual attention from Marc. If it were me, I’d be regularly sounding him out about the best aperture, shutter speed, and ISO for any given shot in there.
And that’s the very considerable extra wallop, the bonus you get when you’re lucky enough to find yourself on a tour guided by Marc.
